Partners from University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, SIR Soluzioni Industriali Robotizzate Spa and Halmstad University visited Aalen University in the end of November. The partners had a close look at the FluidJet Polishing systems in Aalen, both the low pressure FP and the high pressure FP.
Then the possibilities of implementing the FP process in a robot cell were discussed. Moreover the requirements for a human-machine-interface that allows the operator to work with the FP system similar to the other polishing systems were defined. Another important topic that was reviewed was the procedure of choosing the appropriate polishing parameters and the possibility of implementing those into a newly developed database.
In the end the partners got a clear understanding for the FP process and a lot of good ideas were generated during this meeting.
