Sapienza University of Rome ROM
The Robotics Laboratory (www.diag.uniroma1.it/labrob, also as RoboticsLabSapienza channel on YouTube) at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Informatica, Automatica e Gestionale (DIAG) of the Sapienza University of Rome is committed to the development and experimental validation of advanced planning and control techniques for industrial and service robots. The Lab currently includes four faculty members, three post-docs, and five Ph.D. students. Over the years, the group has developed a range of techniques in nonlinear and optimal robot control, iterative learning, hybrid force-motion control, sensor fusion, graph search, randomized motion planning, and cooperative exploration. Of specific interest to the project is the expertise of the group on motion, interaction, and visual-based control of manipulators, task-constrained motion planning, safe physical human-robot interaction, sensor-less collision detection and reaction, sensor-based planning, navigation, and exploration, and fault detection and isolation.
